Hey Goal Investigator, welcome to week 2. This week you will evaluate your crossroads paths, create your happiness list, set your next three action steps, and track your weekly activity. Last week you did your life assessment, and that gave you a picture of where you are starting from on your crossroads journey. You also set a short-term goal and you would have started to take action.

Idea Playground – Evaluate your Crossroads Paths
In your journal or Crossroads Quarterly Planner, use an Idea Playground mind map and free writing to gather all of your thoughts and feelings and ideas about the crossroads that you are deliberating.
Think about:
- What are your different crossroads paths?
- What are the advantages of the different paths you are considering?
- What are the disadvantages of the different paths?
- What actions do you need to take for each path?
- Why do you want to consider exploring this path further?
- Which path do you want to explore first?
- Give your chosen path a timeframe to trial.
Your Happiness List
As we get busy with life, we often neglect the things that make us happy. This exercise is designed so that you have a quick reference list of things that you enjoy doing. In your diary or journal, create a list of things and activities that make you happy when you do them.
Items on your happiness list could be things like: self-care – giving yourself a facial, getting your nails, giving yourself a mani/pedi, reading a book, watching a show or movie, going for a walk in nature, hugging your pet, working on your car, building something, painting something…
When you tick off an activity from your crossroads journey, choose an item from your happiness list. And at least once a week, do an activity from your list to bring happiness into your life.
Top 3 Action Steps for the week
If you only get 3 things done, what are the top 3 action steps you need to do this week? Make sure you add these action steps to your diary. Also make sure you add a deadline for when the tasks need to be done by.
Weekly Tracking
Part of achieving success with your goals is tracking your progress. If you also need accountability, join us over at HGD Crossroads Module 1: Basics, which is the free module. There is the full module guided action plan, group discussion threads, and a weekly tracking form where, for the first 4 weeks, you can get 1 Goal Investigation session answered.
