Welcome back, Goal Investigator, to Week 9 Action Plan. This week you will be reviewing the month that has been and then go on and set the plan for the month to come. You will continue on your happiness list activities, bringing a little happiness to your life daily. And finally, you will carry on your weekly tracking.

Review your month
Having your weekly tracking up to date will help you when you review your month, as you will have a condensed version of what you got up to in the month that has just been. Reviewing your month will help you to see what is working, what isn’t, and what you have achieved.
In your chosen HGD Crossroads Planner or your journal, start a new spread for the monthly review:
- What was the focus for the month?
- What action steps did you complete?
- What action steps did you do instead?
- What action steps did you not do? Why?
- What will you not do again?
- What do you need to do differently or change?
- What progress have you made with your goals?
- What have you still got outstanding?
- What are you carrying over to next month?
- Any other notes about the month that has just been?
The plan for next month
Now that you have reviewed the month that has just gone, it is time to plan the coming month. Having a plan will help you to have a focus for the month so that you know what you are working towards. This also helps with the weekly tracking because you have milestones that can be measured.
- What is the focus for the month?
- What does success look like for you this month?
- What goals are you focusing on this month?
- What action steps do you need to take this month?
- What are the top 3 action steps?
- What appointments have you got this month?
Your happiness list
You will know by now, if you have been following along with the weekly action plans you will know that your happiness list is activities that you enjoy doing and that make you happy. These can be activities like personal care: giving yourself a facial, doing your nails, taking care of your beard, getting a relaxing or therapeutic massage. Arts and crafts: painting, drawing, crocheting, knitting, building something, working on your car. Other activities that make you happy. Then you will do at least one of them daily. You can also use your happiness list as a reward when you achieve something from your goals or action plan. After you have done a roadblocks or sabotage exercise to lift you up. You can also do a happiness activity when you are feeling down.
After work, I have been doing some crocheting before feeding the animals and myself. I am crocheting a long line cardi/overcoat; it is in an 8-ply acrylic yarn in the colour rhubarb. What have you been doing?
Weekly tracking
As you would have discovered in this week’s action plan, it is helpful to do the weekly tracking so that you have a record of what you achieved in the month when you do the monthly review.
- Weekly Tracking
- Focus of the week
- Top 3 Tasks of the Week
- Resources required
- Accomplishments of the week
- Weekly Tasks/habits
- Weekly Notes
- Top 3 Action Steps for next week
