HGD Crossroads Week 7 Action Plan

Hey Goal Investigator. Welcome back with the Week 7 Action Plan. This week, with your action plan, you will continue to take action on your goals – one action step at a time. You will also look at your vision board. Continue to work with your happiness list, and keep up your weekly tracking.

    • Your vision board
    • Your Happiness List
    • Weekly Tracking

    Your vision board

Back when I first learnt about vision boards, you got a blank piece of paper, and you cut out pictures of what you wanted in your life. Now that technology has advanced, there are so many more options.

    • Paper collage
    • Photo folder on your phone and computer, and watch your vision board as a slide show as you play a motivating song.
    • Pintrest
    • Other memo apps and software

Use as many as you like, just gather images and words and graphics of what you want in your life and visualise them daily. I personally use a folder on my phone and watch them on a slide show.

    Your happiness list

As you will know by now if you have been following along with the weekly Action Plans from week 1. Your happiness list is items that you like to do that make you happy. These can be personal care such as getting a facial or giving yourself one, doing your nails, applying a divine body lotion to your skin with your nighttime routine, Activities that make you happy such as going for a dog walk on the beach or with your partner, working on your car, building something. Crafts such as embroidery, decorating cakes, making jewellery, crocheting or knitting. Do at least one thing from your happiness list daily, as a reward for completing an action step from your goal, as a pick-me-up when you are feeling sad or stressed, or you have done one of the activities from the roadblocks or sabotages exercises.

For my personal care this week, I bought myself a body lotion, and it smells divine, and it makes my skin feel silky soft. Next week I will be getting myself a mascara – I am torn whether to buy the ingredients to make myself one or to just buy one.

    Weekly tracking

Continue your weekly tracking; this is where you record the action you have taken this week, what you have accomplished and how you rewarded yourself.

    Weekly Tracking

    • Focus of the week
    • Top 3 Tasks of the Week
    • Resources required
    • Accomplishments of the week
    • Weekly Tasks/habits
    • Weekly Notes
    • Top 3 Action Steps for next week

This concludes this week’s action plan. If you haven’t already created a vision board, continue to do things that make you happy and track your actions. If you want help with your goal investigation, you can purchase our WhatsApp Goal Investigation support, where you can share multimedia texts with your Goal Detective. You can ask questions about something you are stuck on with your goal investigation. If you need weekly support and accountability with your goals, or anything else goal-related. The minutes are counted with your Goal Detective’s time, not your time sending the message. The good thing about the WhatsApp Goal Investigation Support is that it is a tool you can use on the go, and you don’t have to book in time to work with your Goal Detective.

  • HGD Crossroads Week 6 Action Plan

HGD Crossroads Week 6 Action Plan

Welcome back, Goal Investigator. How has your week been? This week, check in with how your goals are going, highlight what actions you still need to take and how you are doing emotionally. A few weeks ago in week 3, you looked at your roadblocks and sabotages; how have you been going with your triggers?

Check in with your goals and emotions

You would have been doing your weekly tracking; this is separate from that. This is more an informal check-in with your goals and yourself. As this will be your sixth week of taking action on your goals and your self-development, you may have had other roadblocks and sabotages raise their ugly heads. Be kind to yourself. Use one of the Roadblocks and Sabotages exercises from week 3 and then do something from your Happiness List.

In your journal that you have been using for your HGD Crossroads work:

    • For your short-term goal, what action steps have you got outstanding?
    • If you have completed the short-term goal that you set in Week 1, have you set a new goal?
    • What negative thoughts have popped up recently?
    • How have you been working through those negative thoughts?
    • Has anything else triggered you?
    • How are you feeling about your Crossroads Journey?
    • Are you happy with the progress you have been making? Why?
    • Is there anything else you would like to record about your Crossroads Journey?

    Your happiness list

You will be very familiar with your happiness list by now. Have you been adding to it? Have you been doing something from your happiness list daily? How about when you accomplish something from your Crossroads Journey?

In case you are new to the happiness list, this is a list of all the things you like to do that make you happy. Each day, do something from your happiness list, as well as after you have achieved an action step from your Crossroads Journey. Another time to use your happiness list is if you need an emotional boost.

Last week I mentioned that I had ordered an empty makeup palette; I have since received it. I have also transferred the loose mineral foundation that I made, and pressed it into one of the empty pans. I have also transferred two of the three lipsticks I have made. I would have transferred all three, but I can’t find where I have put the third lipstick, as it was not where I thought I had put it. I now have to create a list of the other makeup products that I need, including mascara, as I have run out this week. Oh, I am on day two of wearing makeup daily. Let’s keep doing things that make us happy.

    Weekly Tracking

By now, the weekly tracking is starting to feel naturally part of your weekly routine. Keep going with your action steps, one at a time, record what you have been doing, and keep tracking your actions.

    Weekly tracking:

    • Focus of the week
    • Top 3 Tasks of the Week
    • Resources required
    • Accomplishments of the week
    • Weekly Tasks/habits
    • Weekly Notes
    • Top 3 Action Steps for next week

This concludes the week 6 action plan. If you need extra support throughout the week, you can purchase the trial WhatsApp Goal Investigation Support, where you can get 15 minutes to share multimedia and text messages about your Crossroads Journey with your Goal Detective. You can ask questions, brainstorm ideas, and get another pair of eyes on your Goal Investigation. The beautiful thing about the WhatsApp Goal Investigation Support is that you don’t have to book in a time with your Goal Detective, and you can use this service on the go. The minutes are counted by the Goal Detective’s time, not the entire conversation between both parties.

HGD Crossroads Week 5 Action Plan

Welcome to week 5 Goal Investigator. This week you are going to review the previous month and set the plan for this month, review your happiness list and continue your weekly tracking. If this is your first week coming across the Weekly Plans head on over to week 1. You can start the weekly plans anytime of the year.

    • Review your month
    • Monthly Plan
    • Your Happiness List
    • Weekly Tracking

    Review your month

At the end of each month, it is a good idea to review the month that has been; this makes it easier to set the plan for the coming month. Also it lets you reflect on what you achieved and the direction you are taking. You will find this monthly review easier if you have been doing your weekly tracking.

    • What was the focus for the month?
    • What action steps were you meant to take?
    • What action steps did you actually take?
    • What action steps did you do instead of something from your list?
    • What action steps did you not take? Why?
    • What worked this month?
    • What did not work this month?
    • What will you do differently next month?
    • What will you not do again?
    • Is there anything else you need to note about this month?

    The plan for next month

Now that you have reviewed last month, it is time to plan for the coming month. This way you will know what needs to be achieved and the actions you need to take.

    • What is the focus for this month?
    • What goals and projects do you have active?
    • What goals and projects do you want to start this month?
    • What are your top 3 action steps
    • For your current and new goals and projects what action steps do you need to achieve this month?
    • Describe what it would look like by the end of the month to have had a successful month?

    Your happiness list

By now you will be familiar with your happiness list. Have you been doing something from your happiness list daily? What about when you achieve action steps from your goals? Is there anything else that you want to add to your happiness list?

This week I got home from a 10-day trip to Wellington; this was a good, refreshing break. I have also refocused on my self-care, cleansing and exfoliating my face regularly, and applying a moisturiser daily. Also, I have been focusing on breaking the habit of picking my nails and have bought myself a nail varnish. I am on week 4, and already most of my nails have reached a tidy short length.

Something I want to add to my daily happiness list is to do my makeup daily. To enhance the probability of me following through with this I have just ordered an empty makeup palette so that I can have my main products easily accessible. And I can use the book “Make It Up” by Marie Rayma to make more of my products. I already have lipstick and mineral foundation; next I would like to make eyeshadow in 3 to 4 shades and blusher, highlighter and bronzer. This may sound like a goal, but it makes me happy so I am adding it to my happiness list.

    Weekly Tracking

Now that you have completed a month of weekly tracking and the monthly review, you will see how helpful this process is. Let’s keep up the good work.

    • Focus of the week
    • Top 3 Tasks of the Week
    • Resources required
    • Accomplishments of the week
    • Weekly Tasks/habits
    • Weekly Notes
    • Top 3 Action Steps for next week

Now that you have the monthly and weekly plan, go and take your first action step for the week. If you want a 1:1 accountability, try WhatsApp Support for $30. You can send multimedia messages and text, this trial option will give you 15 minutes to chat with a Goal Detective. WhatsApp Goal Investigation Support is great for you if you need accountability during the week, have questions about your goal investigation, or prefer on-the-go support rather than a dedicated Video or In-Person Goal Investigation Session.

  • HGD Crossroads Week 3 Action Plan

HGD Crossroads Week 3 Action Plan

Welcome back, Goal Investigator. This week we are looking at your roadblocks and sabotages. As you go through this week’s Action Plan, be kind to yourself, and have your happiness list handy. Identifying your roadblocks and sabotages is important to help you work through them and find solutions and other ways of thinking.

    This week’s plan will cover:

    • Idea Playground – Roadblocks and Sabotages
    • Deeper Investigation into your roadblocks and sabotages
    • Your next 3 Action Steps
    • Your Happiness List
    • Weekly Tracking

    Idea Playground: Sabotages and Roadblocks

In your journal or HGD Crossroads Module 3: Roadblocks Action Guide, use an Idea Playground exercise to investigate your roadblocks and sabotages. Use a mind map first to gather your thoughts and start the investigation into what is holding you back, creating a roadblock on your path, and sabotages that keep cropping up in your life. Then follow this with a free writing exercise to continue to dump your thoughts.

    Your Happiness List

Last week you created your happiness list, and you would have started to frequently do an activity that makes you happy. While you work through your sabotages and roadblocks this week, use the happiness list when you need a break working through your sabotages and roadblocks.

Deeper Investigation into your roadblocks and sabotages

In this exercise, we will take the work that you have done in the Idea Playground and expand on it. Examine each sabotage or roadblock and follow the steps for this investigation.

    • What was the activating event or trigger?
    • What are your thoughts and beliefs about the activating event?
    • What are the consequences of the activating event and your thoughts and beliefs?
    • What evidence is there to support and show doubt about your beliefs around the activating event?
    • What alternative possibilities are there and what evidence is there to suggest it might be true?
    • Is your belief balanced, extreme, or inflexible?
    • Is my belief helpful or problematic?
    • If your belief is true, how much does it matter?
    • What can you do to evaluate if your belief is true?
    • If your belief is true, what is the most constructive way you can respond to it?
    • How can you change the thought so that it is not so extreme or inflexible?

    Your weekly plan

To set your week up for success, plan what you want to achieve. This will also help with the weekly tracking as you can compare what you set and what you actually completed.

    • What is the focus for the week?
    • What are your top 3 action steps?
    • What other action steps do you need to take?
    • What resources do you need for your action steps?
    • What appointments do you have this week?

    Weekly Tracking

Continue to track your progress as you have been for the last two weeks. This will help you to see your progress as you go, plus to see if you start to wonder if you are making any progress.

    • Focus of the week
    • Top 3 Tasks of the Week
    • Resources required
    • Accomplishments of the week
    • Weekly Tasks/habits
    • Weekly Notes
    • Top 3 Action Steps for next week

Now that you have done work on your sabotages and roadblocks, go and do something from your happiness list. Today is a good day to take action

Hey there, Goal Investigator! If you’re waiting for a sign, a push, or a nudge to start working on your goals and dreams, consider this it. You’ve got this! Sometimes, the idea of taking that first step can be scary, like a terrier. But remember what Mel Robbins says: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, launch. In this case, it’s 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, take action.

Today is a good day to take action

Hey there, Goal Investigator! If you’re waiting for a sign, a push, or a nudge to start working on your goals and dreams, consider this your push. You’ve got this! Sometimes, the idea of taking that first step can be scary and terrifying. But remember what Mel Robbins says: be like a rocket going into space 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, launch. In this case, it’s 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, take action.

Often, we get caught up in our heads on what we should do and get stuck in analysis paralysis. We get so stuck in the research stage that we forget to actually take action and get started. Because at the end of the day, we aren’t going to achieve our goals and dreams if we don’t start taking action. It doesn’t have to be a big, scary action; it can be baby steps. It’s just the first thing you can think of to get started. Often, the hardest part is getting started.

Is there a daily activity you can incorporate to build a habit and make progress? For instance, if your goal is fitness, consider a thirty- to sixty-minute walk before work with your dogs. The initial attempts might be challenging, but if you persist, it will soon become a part of your routine.

Another example is if you are writing a book, is there a time of the day that you can write for thirty to sixty minutes, OR are you more motivated with a number of words? How many words each day can you write at a minimum? My minimum number of words daily is 300. It is a doable amount, and often, I will write more than this.

What I am saying is to set a minimum goal to get you started, and often, once you are started, you will do the full amount or more.

Let’s build a community of support and motivation. Share your tips and tricks for getting started and staying on track. Together, we can overcome procrastination and achieve our goals.

  • Planning for the week ahead, 7 April 2025

Can you believe we are already into the second quarter of the year? That means three months have already gone by. Have you done your quarter plan? Or are you winging it? We all know how I feel about this. Have a loose plan so that you know where you are going.

    Holistic Goal Detectives products:

What you will need for the weekly planning session:

    • Your diary/planner (and any writing instruments you use for a physical planner )
    • April monthly planner (Planning for April 2025)
    • Your quarterly planner (Preparing for Q2 and Q2 2025 Quarterly Plan)
    • The monthly Task Tracker

The steps to planning your week:

    1. I first transfer any appointments from the monthly planner to the appointment section on the relevant days.
    2. Then, in my quarterly plan, I review the plan for April so that I have it clear in my head.
    3. Next, I consult the Task Tracker for April to identify the tasks I can tackle this week. I then allocate them to their respective days, giving me a flexible yet structured plan.I also record anything that I achieved last week in The Quarterly Plan. This could be a project milestone, a personal goal, or a significant event that impacted my plans. Then, I go down to the Goal Tracker section and record up to seven Goal Tasks I want to track this week. For me, that can be
      • the minimum sales goal with space to write the actual amount
      • The number of days I walked 6,000 steps
      • The amount of sales directly from HGD LTD, not other avenues
      • And I have space for four more items

Remember, the beauty of this planning process is its adaptability. Most of the time, I review the daily tasks on the actual day, allowing for any unexpected changes or additions.

  • Weekly Roundup for week ending 6 April 2025

Since we are at the start of Quarter 2 for 2025 a lot of the recent posts have been about planning for this coming Q2. I have also given you a look into my life with my personal Life Assessment Reflection for Q2 20225.

    Planning for April 2025

Planning for the month ahead helps you stay on track with your quarterly focus. It allows you to break it up into smaller, manageable chunks. It also allows you to evaluate what is important to you. By pre-planning, you will be more prepared for the action steps you need to take, and you won’t be surprised by events.

    Mainifesting a loving partner

Manifesting a loving partner involves a combination of self-awareness, positive thinking, and taking actionable steps. Here are some strategies to help you on your journey to attract the right person into your life.

Goal Detective Cindy Life Assessment for Q2 2025

I was in a car accident on 1 November 2024. This has affected all areas of my life, and I have had to not take on any new clients in my backup job as a domestic cleaner. I am not sad about not being able to take on new cleaning clients, but I am sad that it has finally set me back about two years.

Where are you currently in life?

  • Where are you currently in life?

Embark on the Life Assessment, a crucial step in the Create Your Dream Plan Action Life. This assessment, which I’ve shared my own version of, serves as the cornerstone for understanding your current life situation and setting your future goals.

A clear understanding of your current situation is the key to unlocking your future goals. It’s like a puzzle, where each piece represents a different aspect of your life. For instance, my accident led me to rely on government financial assistance. But I’ve set a goal to replace this with my own earnings, not just to improve my life, but to gain independence and self-sufficiency.

Having this figure allows me to set smaller goals (milestones), the first of which was to have a Gross wage of $160, and the next milestone will be $200, and then $250, and so on until I reach the magic number of $700. This also allows me to set business financial goals with the target of $850 (The wage is about 82% of sales). But this is just a starting point. Once the business has reached this sales goal, it can switch to the next financial goal.

I want to add that once I have raised my wage to $700, I need to stay there for at least 13 weeks. Another way to look at it is for an entire quarter, plus the partial quarter if the target isn’t reached at changeover. This is to allow me to get comfortable in my new situation before levelling up again. This can also be referred to as reaching an upper limit. You can find more on this by reading or listening to Gay Hendricks’ “The Big Leap.”

You need to ask yourself, where are you now? And where do you want to go?

  • The Q2 2025 Life Assessment

It is time again to check in with your Life Assessment. These quarterly assessments are important to help you see how your life is and if anything has changed. They also allow you to form your plan for the next three months, as you may discover that a particular life area needs attention or that a life area you have been working on is now at a satisfactory level.

When you have your big planning session at the end of the year or the start of the new year, you will do the full Holistic Life Assessment, which involves delving deep into each life area.

First, you will do a quick quiz to determine which life areas you are satisfied with right now and which are important to you. Over three months these can change in value to you. Or you may have done the work required to improve the life area. Another point to think about here is that life can change drastically in 90 days.

In your notebook (or you can use the Quarterly Planner), head up the page “Life Assessment”. Then, you will need three columns, the two on the right to be smaller than the one on the left. Just big enough to write a two-digit number. The image below will show you an example of The Life Assessment.

The column on the left is for the life area, the middle is for Satisfaction, and the one on the right is for Importance. The life areas are:

    • Job or occupation
    • Finances
    • Family Relationships
    • Leisure
    • Partner or relationship
    • Health
    • Exercise
    • Living conditions
    • Feeling relaxed
    • Feeling in control.

Please rate both qualifying columns on a scale of 0 to 10, where zero is least satisfied or least significant, and 10 is most satisfied or most important.

You finish the life assessment by writing a reflection on what came up for you while conducting the quiz. This should help you clarify where you are right now in your life. It will also help you identify which life area(s) you want/need to work on next.
